Just a quickie

So Autumn is apparently here, loving the rainy weather...or maybe not! However have spent the entire weekend working as have big scary external observation on Thursday so at least I wasn't missing any good weather.
Anyhoo, wore this hat out today on a little jaunt into Wimbledon and everyone kept staring at me...not sure if that means it worked or it looked awful, hah! What dya reckon?

Published again!

Hey guys, how's everyone doing? Sorry about the lack of posting for the month. The start of term is beyond chaotic and just day to day life in the classroom too really. Gotta love working with 5 year olds! Anyway this is just a quick post to let you know I am indeed still alive and....I've been published again, yay! This time I wrote two pieces for En Vie called Grunge Revisted and Undone Nights. A trend piece and a hair and makeup piece. You can check them out here http://en-vie-fashion.com/2013/ENVIE_2013_10_EN_D.pdf

I'm writing two more pieces this weekend for next months edition too. As well as doing a load of school work, booo and catching up with a mate tonight, yay! :D Hopefully this means I'll get some photos to put up tonight before we get too drunk! Hope everyone is having a fab Saturday so far.

Sports Day In The City

Hey guys, sorry I've hardly posted recently. Term started today and I have been prepping for classroom displays and being responsible for 30 5-year-olds, crazy times! I'm happy to report that today all went well and we all survived! My class are adorable and I am very much looking forward to teaching them over the next year.
Anyway, before it all got a bit mental I was asked to write a fashion editorial piece for a digital magazine based in Osaka and it has just been published in the September issue. It was actually harder than I first thought to write 300 words that people actually want to read, but I'm pretty proud of it. And it was a lot of fun. Anyway check it out here: http://www.en-vie-fashion.com/

Second Tattoo

So I'm slightly OCD when it comes to numbers, I have a thing about odd numbers...moving on! I realised the other day if I only get one new tattoo then I'd have seven, so maybe I should get two like last time so I'd have eight! I was thinking I want one behind my ear and I want a feather tattoo. There are loads of pictures on Google and such that show truly horrific feather tattoos behind the ear and elsewhere which has put me off for ages, then I came across this picture and, well, perfection!

I love how it follows the contours of her ear and hair, and the outline isn't solid like some feather designs. So yeh I'm thinking this one and a quote on my arm. When I have the money anyway! Oh and a nose piercing too...hmmm...maybe being a primary teacher wasn't the best idea I've ever had!

Tattoos

I've finally decided what I want as my next tattoo, yay! But....I have yet to decide where. I really want it somewhere on my arm, however being a Primary teacher and already having one visible tattoo on my wrist I'm not so sure this will go down well with the parents...
But anyways, here are some photos I've been using for inspiration for placement for my latest one. Now I just need to save up enough cash (this could take months...boo!).

Back Together Again!

Ever do that thing where you fall hard out of love with an item of clothing  then months later rediscover it? I totally did this with these snake print jeans! I haven't liked them since I got back from Japan, which is almost a year! But I wore them today and boy am I in love again! Especially with these newish shoes from Zara. What do you think? Are you in love with them too?

Morning...just!

So... last night I couldn't sleep. I probably only dropped off around 3am, then my mother called from Japan at 6.45am....not impressed. So I've only just surfaced again. Ergh, feel even more tired now! Ah well, here's hoping now I'm up I have a slightly more productive afternoon!

Graduation!

Well, I did it! And on Saturday we all got to graduate in Bath Abbey. One thing I do know is that I couldn't have done it without the help and support from all my lovely friends I made on this course! So thank you guys! I love you all muchly and well done!

Oakley Hall

Due to moving down south to uni for my ex and not because it was nearby, it's a really long way to drive just for graduation! So me and the fam made it into a mini holiday and stopped off at Oakley Hall on the way. Everyone should go! It's amazing! The rooms were gorgeous, the surroundings were beautiful and the food was delicious!

We're Knights of the Round Table, We Dance Whenever We're Able!

I went to the castle used in most of Monty Python and the Holy Grail whilst up in Scotland. It's used for Camelot (where this pic was taken), Swamp Castle, Castle Anthrax and the castle with the French dudes in it and more I'm sure! Apparently it's also used as Winterfell in Game of Thrones but I don't watch it so...meh! It's called Doune Castle and the audio guide was awesome (you can see the headphones on my head).
I think I've found an outfit for graduation now so must off to bed!

LRD

I bought this for a night out for a friend's birthday but none of those pictures were suitable for here due to it being an awesome night, haha! Anyway, I wore it here for dinner on our last night in Scotland. It's so simple, yet really works well, I love it! And I love the colour. I think everyone needs a Little Red Dress in their wardrobe.
Please excuse the mirror selfies, drastic times call for drastic measures.

Get Your Legs Out!

I'm not one for wearing dresses in the day unless they're maxi to be honest. I think I picked up a phobia of my legs being on show in Japan as they're all super skinny over there and tanned so mine felt all short, pale and wobbly in comparison. However now I'm back in the UK and it's BOILING, I'm so down for flashing a little (or a lot) of leg! And also trying out some fake tan, not that you can tell here. That's how pale I am! As you can probably tell, I love stars, to the point of having a star tattoo, so this scarf and dress combo from H&M are a new favourite. Might be giving the scarf a miss now it's even hotter though!

Sunny in Scotland!

A beautifully sunny day of many from my week spent in Scotland. We did quite a bit of walking so I thought I'd try tying my maxi skirt up, I think I like it! I'll have to remember this for the future!

Night out with my "brothers"

Before all this lovely weather hit, I went for a few (read; several) pints with two of the best guys in the world! It was a little rainy but still warm so this be what I wore.
Sorry I've been a bit AWOL again, my supposedly amazing man has split up with me so slowly crawling up out of the pit of despair I've fallen into. On a happier note I am mid-clothing crisis! As in I have Graduation in 4 days and NOTHING TO WEAR! :O Desperately trying to decide, but have thrown most of my stuff away recently to downsize a bit...hmmmm...sure I'll work something out!
More posts coming soon guys, as I was up in Scotland last week in the amazing 29/30 degree heat and I actually wore dresses in the day :O Check back for these posts soon!

The Last Night in Bath!

Well, I've done it! I made it through my PGCE and am now officially a teacher (well when I graduate). I have a job all lined up starting in September to teach very cute Y1s. I can't believe I'm going to have  my own class, I'm so excited! I've moved back up home for a couple of months whilst I find somewhere to live near my job so I've left Bath now. My last night in Bath was awesome. We had a meal then headed out to karaoke. I'm very grateful for all the lovely friends I've made over the last year who've been so amazing, especially in the past couple of weeks! So anyways, here's what I wore on Friday! :D

Details

It was a gloriously sunny day on Tuesday so a friend and I went shopping to take advantage of the last day of our student discounts. I decided to rock these trousers I got in Rhodes from Mango over Easter, well I say I got them, my Mum very kindly bought them for me. I love the pattern and they're also very comfy! Hopefully I will get a full outfit shot of these soon.

Flower Crown

Again with the seeing something everywhere and giving it a go! This time a floral crown from Topshop, I also got one with bright pink and red flowers on too, but no pics yet. What dya reckon? I think I quite like it, especially if you ignore my silly facial expression, hah!

Floral crown and necklace; Topshop: cardigan and leather vest; H&M

To Crop or Not to Crop?

So I've been admiring all the crop tops around for the summer but didn't really feel I could necessarily pull it off due to not being to the gym for like 2 months, but I gave in and got this one from Topshop. I wore it out for my friend's birthday last weekend. What do you think? I'm loving that I found my bumbag again! I am however so totally growing my fringe out, it's just waaaay too much hassle with naturally curly hair! So I'm currently rocking some rather Ben from A1-esque curtains, sexy! Hah!

Recently

Hey guys, how goes it? I've been on half term for the past week, yay! Although this did involve a maths test (passed, whew) and a day of uni and now sitting inside sick on a gloriously sunny day, joy! Pity party of one much? Anyhoo I did get to have some fun. The first picture is from a night out last week and the second is from last night. We had an alternative summer ball at our house as the uni one was soooo ridiculously expensive! I wore this dress I got from Topshop aaaages ago for the first time and I love it! It reminds me of Kate Moss and I love the simplicity of the the black satin and how it's not slutty but still awesome! Note the same necklace in both pics? I'm in love, fluoro colour and bling?! Heaven!
Hope you're all doing better than me, hah! Only got 3 weeks left of teaching though and then it's the summer hols, YAY!

New Hair!

Sorry I've been gone for over a month. It's been madness at my new placement! We had Ofsted in (the inspectors), then I had an interview, then I had an external examiner in to observe my lesson then the next day my university tutor was in to observe me. Crazy times! The even crazier thing is that I got the job I went for! It was the only school I applied to, my first ever interview, and I got the job! Madness!
Anyhoo...I got new hair....What dya think?

So........I got a lot of length taken off and a fringe, eeek! I love it but it also kinda bugs me at the moment, hah! Right I'm off to get ready for eurovision!

Coming Home

So on our last day of the holidays it rained, but that was OK as we spent the day in the Palace of the Grand Masters. Then the Museum of Archaeology, which is AMAZING and then had a 2 and a half hour and slightly boozy late lunch. After that it was time to head home.

Couldn't decide which picture was best! This white jumper I bought from Topshop has been so worth it. I've worn it loads and it's really comfy! I'm also in love with, basically, what is a floral shell suit, who knew they'd be back?!

Ancient Kamiros

Hello, on Tuesday we had the best day ever! I am a total history nerd and so I very much enjoyed spending a few hours looking around the ancient ruins of a city that was destroyed by an earthquake, well 2 to be exact. After the second one the residents upped and left. Don't blame them really. You get to actually go down into the ruins and walk down the main street, in the temples and around the houses. I loved it! :D

To the sea and Butterfly Valley (with no butterflies)

Due to going a little pink yesterday and also being eaten alive by insects, I decided to stay covered up today so repeated an outfit from earlier in the week, but with different shoes.
Just been doing some uni work but off to get ready for dinner! It's been so sunny today, I love it and don't ever want to come home.
